Last summer Fred, Amber and I made some pinhole cameras together. The above photos are what I managed to get from my reel of film. I'm certainly going to keep this going because it's so fun and satisfying to do! Will attempt to refine the matchbox method or try out a different technique - there are plenty of possibilities out there.

that is impressive! Love the disused railway shot. I know the place, it has an eery feel. And that comes across in the picture. Done with a matchbox turned into a camera??? Hard to believe!

ReplyDeleteI love these photos! I really like the reflection one. How difficult is it to make your own pinhole camera? I've always been intrigued by the idea but I've been a bit scared to try it myself!
Well there is this very useful site http://www.matchboxpinhole.com/ that has a step by step guide on how to make your very own matchbox pinhole camera! It's pretty easy to do :) Just when you get the film developed don't go to a big store (like boots/supermarket etc) but a shop that specialises in cameras that can develop film manually. This is because bigger stores can only do it by machine, which finds it harder to distinguish separate images on film from a pinhole camera. I hope that makes sense! :)
